18 Jun Ahead of the field
It’s been an exciting week of news and events here at Dawson Shanahan HQ. Among many promising business developments we have also received an update on the progress of Adele Nicoll, a local junior athlete that we sponsor who is on an incredible journey. Shot-putter Adele has recently qualified for the European Athletics Junior Championships having achieved a new personal best.
A rising star in the athletics world, 18-year-old Adele epitomises everything that Dawson Shanahan stands for: dedication, focus and precision. Similarly to our approach to precision cold forming, Adele has been working on and perfecting her technique over many years and is always looking to improve. Developing a winning shot-put technique relies on many of the components that enable the enhancement of precision cold forming techniques: analyse where further improvements can be made, engineer out and strengthen any weaknesses, and persevere with efficiency gains.
This commitment and drive has led to record breaking Adele being recognised as a leading light in the future of Great British athletics and Dawson Shanahan being regarded as a leader in precision cold forming. With our commitment and drive greater than ever before, we’re certain the future will be bright for both Adele and Dawson Shanahan.
The European Athletics Junior Championships take place between 16-19 July in Eskistuna, Sweden. You can keep up to date with Adele’s performances and all other event news via the official European Athletics Junior Championships website.
