20 Mar Breeding Talent
As seasoned providers of bespoke and precision engineered components for a wide range of automotive applications we’re pleased to hear that the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) has launched SkillAuto, a competition to discover the UK’s best young automotive talent.
It’s safe to say that the UK automotive sector has undergone a tough period over recent years so an initiative designed to encourage vibrant and exciting young talent should be welcomed with open arms. The competition will see entrants vying for a place in the SkillAuto final, which will be held in November at the NEC. You can find more information about the competition here.
At Dawson Shanahan we are passionate about utilising cutting edge technologies and recognised as pioneers of one of the most cost-effective and sustainable manufacturing methods: cold forming. By nurturing and promoting young talent within the industry through initiatives such as SkillAuto, we create an industry-wide atmosphere where today’s cutting edge technologies can be adapted and improved by the generations to follow. This then leads to better engineering practices and, ultimately, better products, components and systems.
