We work with major customers to manufacture electromechanical equipment for use in electric and commercial vehicles, in aviation and power generation.

 

Our parts range from precision industrial, I/O and power, to specialised aerospace and high voltage connectors and components such as vacuum interrupters.

 

Our high-power connectors are generally produced from oxygen-free, high conductivity materials that are vital to minimise power losses in charging application.

We manufacture the following types of electrical and electromechanical connectors: –

We use our renowned precision cold forming expertise to manufacture power connectors that optimise the performance of electric vehicle charging units. Cold forming delivers precision engineered parts with up to 80% less scrap than other machining processes. Coupled with faster lead times, better surface finish and improved mechanical characteristics, cold forming offers an opportunity for manufacturers to take advantage of enhanced component quality while reducing costs.

 

In cases where machining is required post cold forming, Dawson Shanahan has invested in highly productive rotary transfer machines fitted with multiple CNC machining heads which enables low-cost, high-volume components to be manufactured in the same plant.
