Rise of the Machines

We’re delighted to have been selected as a finalist for the MWP Awards. Our “unique high volume cold forming and machining centres” have made it to the final cut for the Best Automation System/Equipment category.

The MWP Awards were set up by MWP Advanced Manufacturing magazine in 1982 to recognise and applaud exceptional accomplishments in the industry. The biennial awards ceremony has become an established highlight of the manufacturing calendar.

This news is a great boost to us as we’ve greatly increased our capacity recently with the acquisition of our Triflex and Citizen machining centres. Added to this is our experience, honed over 60 years, in the development, prototyping and manufacturing of cold-formed components. This all means that we have the knowledge, skills and resources to engineer innovative solutions from one-off parts to high volume components.

“We are thrilled to be nominated for the Best Automation System award,” said Jeff Kiernan, Commercial Director at Dawson Shanahan. “Our multi-purpose cold forming and machining centre features a range of services including turning, milling and cold forming. The aim with the centre is to offer customers the best possible efficiency and product quality.”

The awards show coincides with MACH 2014. Where visitors will be able to witness our potentially award winning equipment and processes in action. Just come to stand 5115.

We hope to see you there for what is sure to be another excellent and exciting MACH event and also at the awards show afterwards. Here’s the promotional video from the show itself just to whet your appetite.
