04 Sep Young engineer makes a mark at Dawson Shanahan Wales
Becky Howell at Dawson Shanahan Wales has been notching up a series of qualifications and is training to eventually take up the responsibilities of Quality Manager. She was selected from the operators on the shop floor as an employee with strong potential to progress within the company, and has already proved a considerable asset to Dawson Shanahan, as Shelagh Gill, current Quality Manager, explains.
“Becky has undergone significant training in Health & Safety, both theory and practical, and has passed her CCNSG Safety Passport,” Shelagh says. “She has just passed her Foundation Apprenticeship EAL level 2 NVQ certificate in Business and Administration and her Technical certificate level 2 in Principles of Business and Administration.”
With all this already under her belt, the future looks equally busy for Becky. Dawson Shanahan has scheduled Internal auditing courses for ISO9001 : 2008 & TS16949: 2009 for October and November to be carried out in Telford and Birmingham. She is also carrying out in-house training in purchasing.
“Becky has worked hard and deserves recognition of her achievements,” Shelagh added.
